The StriderPlus™ and SingleStrider™ are revolutionary closed chain systems that provide controlled horizontal resistance while the user maintains a vertical posture. With nothing to hold onto so the user must learn to maintain a balanced posture while forcing their center to develop a true “power stabilization center”. Athletes from tennis, basketball, baseball, soccer and all other sports, which utilize a lateral, forward and backward lunge actions benefit from the Strider. With its unique relationship fo resistance vectors and user’s posture, the Strider will also promote quick and strong stabilization of the ankle, knee, hip, and back. The Striders consist of a 5’ long track with a foot truck which rolls on 8 wheels down the length of the track. The truck has a Rhino cord resistance band connected to the truck and two pulleys with multiple adjustment points that allow the user to increase the workout load. The SingleStrider has only one track and a foot platform at one end of the track. The StriderPlus consists of two tracks connected at the front with mounting plate allowing the user to work both legs. The user stands on either both trucks in the case of the StriderPlus or one truck and the foot platform for the SingleStrider. The user can push or pull the truck down the track with their feet, or hands depending on the desired exercise. Used for fitness, rehabilitation, and multiple sports training exercises. Work the ankles, knees, hips, groin, core, and even the upper body by holding the hand/foot grips on the truck. If you want to be at the top of your game, then you need to build a solid fitness base for speed, quickness, agility, lateral motion, and power. The fitness base will require a program encompassing aerobics, flexibility, muscle strength and endurance. Weak muscles, either lower or upper body and lack of core strength will not only impact running, but passing a ball, kicking, getting out of the blocks, batting, making a racquet swing, and battles on the court. Build muscle strength and muscle endurance and you now begin to build a solid foundation to improve your overall strength. Muscle length and flexibility also play a key role. The more flexible and longer your muscles are, the greater your endurance and power. Flexibility improves your range of motion and elasticity. The PowerStriders stretch the muscles using momentum at he end of the range of motion thus providing dynamic flexibility. Each leg stride is performed under resistance or opposition to the joint movement and range of motion. The Striders provide both concentric and eccentric actions through multi-joint movements resulting in dynamic contractions. |
